Golf Putting Tips To Help You Sink More Putts Consistently

Putting is a tough part of the game of golf yet it can also be the part that can dramatically lower your golf scores. Most people are actually naturally pretty good putters. If you watch a lot of kids you will notice that they tend to putt pretty well even without being given any instruction of any sort.

This can be checked by placing a golf ball at eye level and then drop it to see if it hits the one on the ground that is in the regular position in your putting stance. Putters come in many different sizes and shapes. Try many different ones and purchase the putter you feel most comfortable using.

Keep in mind that putting really is more an art than a science, sometimes you will feel like you did everything right and the ball still does not go in the hole. Remember that there are many variables you have no control over that could have caused a putt to miss so do not beat yourself up all the time.

Confidence is an important part of putting and is very important to become a great putter consistently. You must look at yourself as a great putter and learn to forget your misses. Think more about the putts you did make and replay them on a regular basis to help build your confidence.

The reality is that we all have good feel, it is just a matter of trusting it and not questioning or doubting it. It is important to hit your putts without actively thinking about the speed of that putt.

You need to reduce your thoughts as much as possible and just let your mind and body work automatically to hit the best possible putt. Do not question your read or your putting stroke and avoid thoughts of past missed putts or your current score. Use some of these strategies to assist you in becoming a better putter.
