Liver Cancer Survival By : Liver cancer or hepatocellular carcinoma is a cancer that arises from the liver. It is can also be called as primary liver cancer or hepatoma. The liver is made up of different types of cells (bile ducts, blood vessels, and fat-storing cells). However, the liver cells that is hepatocytes make up 80% of the liver tissue. Thus, the majority of the primary liver cancers (over 90 to 95%) arises from the liver cells and is known as hepatocellular cancer or carcinoma. Liver Cancer Symptom By : Liver cancer has become very common and two-thirds of people have advanced liver disease when they seek medical help, one third of the patients have cancer that has not progressed beyond the liver. Hepatitis is one of the main causes of cancer and people who have this problem are most likely to suffer from liver cancer.
